Diversity and Inclusion Financial Aid Program

Our financial aid program is designed to support exceptional students facing disabilities or challenging domestic and financial circumstances, providing them with opportunities to excel in their studies and future careers. To qualify for this program, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Have a recognized disability
  • Reside in an underdeveloped or developing country
  • Come from a low-income household as defined by the U.S. government
  • Serve as a stay-at-home spouse

High Achiever Financial Aid Program

Criteria: Available for academically qualified students with exceptional educational records.

Award: Up to $6,000

Research Financial Aid Program

Criteria: Designed to attract high-quality students and support their research endeavors.

Award: Up to $9,000

Military Service Financial Aid Program

NCMU honors active duty military personnel and discharged veterans with specialized tuition assistance.

Criteria: Open to active duty military personnel and discharged veterans.

Award: Up to $7,000

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Must meet one of the four criteria for the diversity and inclusion financial aid program.
  • Must be accepted into a program at North Central Michigan University.
  • Should demonstrate a strong academic record, including high test scores, CGPA, and grades.
  • Preference is given to students actively involved in community service and extracurricular activities.
  • Total financial aid programs offered under the Teacher of the year financial aid program

  • Students receive a financial aid program while studying at NCMU
